How is our dear Wan Ying doing? It must have been a shock for everyone to learn what had happened. It is still a shock to some of us who knows what happened.
So here goes the investigations on how Wan Ying is doing!
First of all, the house visit by a few of us Ecoventure mates! Here are the lovely things we bought for her. ^^

KOI bubble tea bought by dear Wai Fun all the way from Bugis! The exceptionally huge one is of course the special order for Wan Ying. Have fun enjoying it all!
Next, we have donuts from J. Co,
money contributed by Kenneth and I,
flavours contributed by everyone. ^^
(You just can't resist these donuts!)
We are now ready to visit Wan Ying with all the food in hand so off we go!

Kenneth, Si Hui, Wai Fun, Cai Ping, Zheng Yu, Wan Ying and of course, Kang Hua (me) whom you don't see because I was the photographer.
We were playing "Saboteur". Let me try to find a photo of myself taken that day...

Oh no, wait! This is not a photo of me... XD Well, it is all right!
People who were there knew I was there and that is enough.
I don't have to show you any photographic evidence.
Wan Ying looks like her cheerful self but I think she was even more cheerful when we sent her to the hospital though... XD I wonder what she does at home besides flooding our email inboxes with multiple emails, random comments on facebook and numerous tweets... We need to visit her more often to make sure she's not totally bored to tears! Play card games / board games with her, chat with her, anything at all!

Wan Ying with an odd grin on her face. She's pointing to the X-ray above!
The last arrivals!

(No opening line, this surprise is hard to contain!)
1. My student (tutee) from Gia Bac School text me an sms!
1. My student (tutee) from Gia Bac School text me an sms!
- At first I was quite skeptical (read: a tad annoyed) that I still kept receiving calls/sms from mobile numbers which start with [+84] (each sms is expensive, mind you!), nonetheless I replied the text.
- Much much surprise, it was Ka Hien, my tutee from our English Enrichment Program at their school!
- A lil' about her: She is 13 years old, (one of the) top student(s) for her level.
- Am guessing she text me through her brother's cellphone (she previously mentioned that he owns one). Oh the horrors, hoped she had asked for permission for it, if not let's cross our fingers she don't get no scolding for that!
- Found it weird that she asked me where I live as I gave her my address on her exercise book, but I figured that she could be verifying all the information I gave her!
- Thank goodness she stopped at 2, I ain't good at sms (don't believe in long-covo for sms)...or at least paying for overseas ones.
2. Chị Bé called me!!
- 9.41AM - Missed call from [+84], sigh why are there still calls from whom I don't have their records? (I have not deleted any of our Vietnam contact numbers). Ignored it, I can't possibly pay to call there, eh?
- 9.56AM - The same number called again. I recalled Si Hui telling me that receiving calls from overseas numbers are free, so I answered!
- It was nice to hear her voice again! But we couldn't extend our conversation beyond "Hello" and our names. But then again, I guess it was a good "human verification", that we're all still in good condition (ha!).
- The phone call ended with loud noisy sounds, either lightning or just problematic connection from Singapore the the Central Highlands, Vietnam (whoa, sounds very far to me already, 800m above sea level, remember?)
- 10.04AM - She sent me a text message.
- I replied her, and wonders whether she is able to get anyone near her to translate it...
- Therefore... I should mail her a Vietnamese-English Pocket dictionary!
Any other follow-up stories to share? =)
